The Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs (OMGD) is a specific section of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs' which specialises in and concentrates on wines, spirits, liqueurs and crafted beverages. It was founded in Paris on 2nd September 1963 and is an integral part of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. Its goal is to promote the enjoyment, appreciation and knowledge of fine wines, quality spirits, beers and mineral waters from around the world.
A major objective and task of the Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs is to organise dinners, tastings, meetings and events focusing on wine and beverages, and pairing them with the appropriate dishes. These type of events encourage and foster an understanding and appreciation of wines and spirits which is valued by Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs members and their guests.
The members of the Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs also include professionals working in the drinks sector, such as distributors and producers, and amateurs who simply have a love, enjoyment or passion for fine wines and quality spirits.
Memberships
Any active member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs can become a member of the Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs, provided that they are proposed by a member of the Ordre Mondial.
Membership in the Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs is part of the Chaine Israel membership.

אורדר מונדיאל דה גורמה דגוסטטר (OMGD) הינו חלק ייחודי של מסדר אבירי הגריל, אשר מתמחה ומתרכז ביינות, משקאות חריפים, ליקרים ומשקאות מעוצבים. הוא נוסד בפריז בשני בספטמבר 1963 והוא חלק בלתי נפרד מהמסדר. מטרתו לקדם את ההנאה, ההערכה והידע של יינות משובחים, רוחות איכותיות, בירות ומים מינרלים מרחבי העולם.
מטרתו ותפקידו העיקריים של האורדר הוא לארגן ארוחות ערב, טעימות, מפגשים ואירועים המתמקדים ביין ומשקאות, והתאמתם למנות המוגשות. סוג זה של אירועים מעודדים ומטפחים הבנה והערכה של יינות ומשקאות חריפים, המוערכים על ידי חברי המסדר ואורחיהם.
בין חברי הארגון יש גם אנשי מקצוע העוסקים בתחום המשקאות, כגון מפיצים ויצרנים וחובבים שפשוט יש להם אהבה, הנאה או תשוקה ליינות משובחים ולרוחות איכותיות.
